I. List of Editorial photographer duties:
  1. Responsible for all freepeople.com and freepeoplewholesale.com digital photography assets
  2. Strong digital photography, lighting, and compositional skills
  3. Research fresh lighting techniques and ideas, and be excited to try new arrangements
  4. Work with styling team to arrange and execute new background materials…colored seamless, etc.
  5. Striving to constantly refine and improve creative output
  6. We’ll be looking for dynamic personalities with experience engaging modeling talent.  Being able to get models to open up for the camera will be of vital importance.
  7. The ability to handle a highvolume studio workflow and execute both editorial and lifestyle imagery under tight deadlines
  8. Working knowledge of Photoshop and Capture One Pro, Mac proficiency
  9. Familiarity and comfort level with Canon 5D is a plus
  10. Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours a day
  11. We’re excited to find someone willing to experiment with lighting/color/filters for special, nonproduct web shots 
  12. Contacting clients for information
  13. Scheduling photoshoots and meetings
  14. Research magazines for photo submissions, opportunities, contests & promotions etc.
  15. Distribute marketing material via email/ social networks etc.
  16. Updating, organizing and filing contract documents, running errands
  17. Participate in meetings, photoshoots and other aspects of being a professional photographer.
II. List of Editorial photographer qualifications
  1.  Bachelors degree preferred
  2. Excellent written and oral communication
  3. Proactive problem solving, both technically and creatively
  4. 3+ years of digital studio photography experience in a commercial studio preferred
  5. A strong portfolio of print and online fashion photography should be provided in interviews to demonstrate experience in applied techniques.
  6. Someone who can inspire and be inspired by our team!
  7. Experience in a studio environment
  8. The ability to manage a photography team (assistant, digital tech photo coordinator)
  9. Looking for independent and productivityfocused candidates
  10. Willingness to work with web production team to optimize photography asset handoffs 
  11. Understand costreduction principles and how to implement goals
  12. Possess skills at assessing issues, defining solutions, and implementing strategy
  13. Perform well in environment that values leadership, efficiency, dependability, and organization
  14. Intern must be proficient in MS Office programs, well organized, punctual & have access to a laptop, cell phone and transportation.
  15. Must have or be willing to travel
  16. Must have a valid passport
